Hello! My name is Katherine or you can call me Kat for short. I’ve been a professional esthetician/nail technician for 10+ years. I have a huge heart for animals, art, video games, reading, writing, and mountains!

I opened Safflina Atelier to share my knowledge, experience, and passion for the beauty industry. It’s easy to see beauty as only a physical, cosmetic change. With so many colours, shapes, and tools to work with, the possibilities feel endless. But, what I truly love about working in the beauty industry goes beyond that. My favourite part is creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where people can feel confident and take time for themselves.

Hearing stories from my clients, friends, and family about getting their nails done, being pampered, and trying something new has been incredibly rewarding. It shows how even a small experience can transform someone’s confidence and sense of self. I will forever be grateful for that. 

After a decade of being in the beauty industry, I think it’s safe to say I have seen and heard all kinds of beauty-related disasters, difficulties, and challenges. I learned to enhance and refine my skills over the years with each client that I’ve worked with.

I want my clients to feel valued and heard as over the years, I’ve worked with many damaged nails, incorrect nail structures, and overall poor technique.

I understand how stressful and chaotic life can be. I understand how difficult it can be finding someone to guide you through the constant changes of the beauty industry. I am committed to continuously learn and keep up with the latest trends. I want to strive for the beauty perfection in the most healthiest manner.
